The mission of South Central Minnesota Pride is to promote visibility and pride for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning and Ally communities of south central Minnesota.

Our group started in 2002, when community members came together to plan the first-ever Pride celebration in south central Minnesota. Since then our group—and our Pridefests—have grown, and in 2006 we incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. While we still do the work of planning our annual Pride celebration, we are also organizing events year-round, such as pride dances and film festivals.

If you are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, or questioning, or an ally of those who are, we invite you to join SCMN Pride, attend a meeting, or make a contribution. Our annual Pridefests are held the weekend after Labor Day, but you don’t have to wait until September to get involved!
